About the Role
As a Port Ecosystem Commercial Intern, you will gain first-hand experience supporting business development and commercial operations in the port and logistics ecosystem. You will work closely with a Deputy Manager (DM) to assist in managing customer relationships, analyzing market trends, and operationalizing commercial initiatives. This internship provides valuable exposure to trade flows, business negotiations, and supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Customer Engagement:
- Assist in researching and identifying potential business leads
- Help in gathering and analyzing market intelligence, including trade flows, competitor activities, and industry trends.
- Support in organizing customer engagement events and meetings.
Operational Support for Commercial Initiatives:
- Work with cross-functional teams (Operations, Legal, Finance & IT) to support the execution of commercial agreements or development of solutions.
- Assist in process mapping and identifying supply chain pain points for customers.
- Help track and follow up on action items related to customer requests and internal coordination.
Data & Reporting:
- Assist in updating and maintaining a database, prospects, and commercial activities.
- Support in tracking sales performance and preparing reports for business reviews.
- Contribute to insights by analysing data related to trade flows and customer trends.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing or have graduated in Master, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Tech Savvy and familiar with RPA tools like UIPath
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Interest in logistics, trade, and supply chain management.
- Self-motivated and able to work in a dynamic environment.
