The candidate will manage the captive and non-captive insurance policies for Singapore region and ensure adequacy of coverage for the organization, identify and arrange appropriate insurance cover to cater to business needs and compliance with all domicile regulations.

• Ensure all captive and non-captive programs are procured timely and managed in accordance with  control procedures and corporate guidelines, as well as managing the tender process for new insurance or renewal policies, including review and recommend selection of brokers, insurers and other service providers, negotiate with brokers/insurers for best coverage and terms
• Review insurance policies for acceptable wordings, coverage, terms and exclusions, provide advice and support to business units in their contracts on terms of indemnities, liabilities and insurance coverage
• Oversee the insurance claims from registration to final settlement
• Monitor claims and loss control issues, communicate and collaborate with business units to highlight claims/loss control issues promptly
• Manage the Captive insurance company jointly with the Captive Manager while maintaining proper captive’s operational records in compliance with Monetary Authority of Singapore’s regulations, including providing timely and accurate periodic reporting of claims status and statistics for management reporting
• Communicate and build relationships with brokers, loss adjustors, captive manager and other external parties.
• Provide technical advice and work with relevant stakeholders to identify risks and offer plans to mitigate these.


• University degree holder with at least 8 years of relevant working experience in similar role
• Good technical knowledge in insurance
• Able to lead a team and work with multiple stakeholders, to influence and drive projects to successful    outcomes
• Proactive and resourceful team player
• Possesses strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills
