Job Description
PSA invites applications to join us as Operations Executives on a Management Trainee Scheme based in Singapore. As part of the team at the world’s largest transhipment hub, you will thrive in a dynamic environment where you will be involved in end-to-end terminal management, from strategic planning and deployment of manpower and equipment to the execution and monitoring of port operations.
Hone your leadership and problem-solving skills by leading a team of supervisors, managing exceptions to provide service excellence round-the-clock on rotating shifts. You will also gain a holistic understanding of the foundations to PSA’s business success which unlocks multiple career paths within PSA.
You can look forward to work in either:
- Control Centre, where you will
- Lead a team of control center supervisors and responsible for the planning of manpower resources and sophisticated equipment, to ensure the quick turnaround of our vessels and prompt connectivity of our customers’ containers,
- Execute and monitor container handling operations to ensure PSA delivers seamless service to our customers round the clock
- Planning, where you will
- Lead a team of ship planners, collaborating with both internal and external stakeholders to meet shift-to-shift ship planning requirements, ultimately ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Spearhead container ship planning to achieve optimal cargo distribution for vessel stability, facilitating swift vessel turnaround and seamless connectivity in PSA SG.
You will be on a 2-year contract following which you will be considered for a further contract or permanent role. OEs who demonstrate strong performance and leadership potential may be considered for development under our Global Management Associate Program to take on leadership positions in Singapore, China or other regions.
Requirements
- University degree, with specialization in logistics or transport management.
- Good academic achievement and performance record
- College English Test (CET-6), fluent in oral and written English
- Demonstrate strong leadership, communication & interpersonal skills
- Analytical, decisive, conscientious, disciplined and results-oriented
- Must have interest to pursue a long-term career with PSA in port and logistics industry
- Willing to work on a 12-hour rotating shift roster
