We are looking for a highly competent and motivated Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and support enterprise database platforms, with a primary focus on Oracle Database, Oracle RAC, Oracle GoldenGate, and Quest SharePlex.
  • Deliver database services, including database provisioning, monitoring, backup and recovery, performance tuning, and change management.
  • Ensure the security, availability, resilience, and optimal performance of database services.
  • Design, implement, and maintain database standards, policies, and operational procedures.
  • Automate database administration tasks through scripting and tooling.
  • Collaborate with application teams, infrastructure teams, and other stakeholders to support projects, system enhancements, and change requests.
  • Evaluate and recommend database technologies, tools, and best practices to improve operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Computing, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
  • At least 3 years of hands-on experience administering Oracle Database, including experience with Oracle RAC, Oracle GoldenGate, and/or Quest SharePlex.
  • Good understanding of Oracle high availability, disaster recovery, backup and recovery, and database performance tuning.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation for database administration.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a meticulous and proactive approach to work.
  • Able to work independently and collaboratively in a team, with good communication skills.
  • Willing to participate in a 24×7 operational support roster.

The following will be advantageous:

  • Experience administering Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Familiarity with SQL Server high availability technologies, such as Always On Availability Groups.
  • Experience with other database platforms such as MySQL.
