We are seeking a skilled and motivated General Ledger and Fixed Assets Assistant Finance Manager (General Ledger & Fixed Assets) to join our finance team. This role demands specialized expertise in financial accounting, reporting, and fixed asset management, with a strong focus on ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory standards. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams and play an integral role in enhancing accounting processes, ensuring accuracy, and supporting audits and reporting activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate recording of transactions in accordance with accounting standards for monthly and annual financial close process
- Preparation of cashflow statements and carrying out reconciliation of general ledger / bank accounts in a timely manner.
- Lead internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and analysis.
- Coordinate with various internal stakeholders to ensure adherence to fixed asset policies and provide support for asset capitalization and disposal processes.
- Monitor capital work-in-progress (CWIP) and ensure timely capitalization of completed projects.
- Assist with the development and implementation of fixed asset controls and procedures.
- Oversee periodic and annual physical verification of fixed assets, ensuring accurate reconciliation and timely reporting.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting policies and standards and supports implementation of new Singapore Financial Reporting Standards
- Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
- Handle other ad-hoc duties and projects as required.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience in general ledger and fixed assets accounting, or experience in Big 4 audit firms.
- Good understanding of accounting principles, SFRS(I) standards, and relevant regulations, with a willingness to deepen expertise.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
