This position reports to the Section Manager (Procurement) and Assistant Vice President (Procurement) and works closely with procurement staff and other company managers. As part of the Central Procurement Support team within PSA Singapore’s Procurement Division, you will play an important role in ensuring smooth procurement operations and supporting executive officers in aligning strategic objectives with user departments. This role offers exposure to a dynamic environment where collaboration and innovation are valued.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of Request for Quotations (RFQs) and tender-related documents.
- Engage and guide suppliers on tender participation procedures and quote submissions.
- Support lead officers on the management of RFQ/tender clarification and negotiation meetings.
- Handle administrative follow-ups and documentation upon contract conclusion.
Beyond day-to-day tender support, you will have opportunities to contribute to process improvement projects which strive to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of procurement workflows – providing a platform to learn and grow within a forward-looking team.
Requirements:
- Diploma in any discipline.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in purchasing or related functions.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel).
- Meticulous, independent, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong time management skills.
- Good negotiation and communication skills will be an added advantage.
